Scheuten was set up in 1950, and for a long time focused on flat glass processing. The company’s development paralleled the expanding range of applications of glass. In 1970 Scheuten became one of the first companies to manufacture insulating glass. The product range was extended to include laminated glass (1983), tempered glass (1990), coated glass (1995) and fire resistant glass (2007). With its own float-glass production facilities in Moustier, Belgium (2001) and Osterweddingen, Germany (2009) Scheuten controls the entire production process – from sand to sale. Scheuten Glass is one of Europe’s top three independent glass manufacturing companies and operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and France. Furthermore, Scheuten Absoluut Glastechniek takes care of project-related services including assembly and project engineering.
