The Berlaymont building is the head office of the European Commission and is therefore a key parliamentary building in Brussels. The building is in the ‘European area’ and is encircled by various European and international bodies.

Scheuten supplied 20,998 Multisafe windows in 3 different compositions:
8 extra clear (film) 8 float
10 extra clear (film) 10 float
10 extra clear (film) 12 float
The film is made from polyester. White dots can be seen on one side, and black dots are visible on the other side. The white dots function and solar control, the black dots serve to maintain the transparency from the inside.

Slats have been fitted to the Multisafe panels (2-sided glued structure) which provide solar control.
Polypane supplied insulating glass for this project.
