Ministry of Safety and Justice, Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations
For the Ministry of Housing and Construction Hans Kollhoff designed two towers with a height of 146 meters in which the Ministries of Safety, Justice and Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations will be situated. Light transmission, solar heat and safety are important elements in the design of the buildings that will be completed in December 2012.
Scheuten glass supplies no less than 30,000 m2 of glass, (of which 50% is insulating glass and 50% laminated glass) in a variety of compositions. The insulating glass was provided with a special coating that optimises the use of solar heat. Apart from that, special fire proof glass was developed to meet the high safety demands by the Ministry of Housing and Construction. In addition Scheuten supplied Multisafe® laminated safety glass which will serve as an extra “shell” for the building.
