De Zeeland was a sugar factory in Bergen op Zoom of which some impressive factory buildings were kept as industrial heritage. The municipality Bergen op Zoom spent years trying to find a new destination for De Zeeland. In 2012 they started the renovation of the factory and the realization of an indoor shopping centre.

Scheuten Projects Venlo supplied various glass systems, among others for the impressive entrance facade. Panes were installed that measured 5.50 metres wide and 2.50 metres high weighing about 1,000 kg a piece. These panes were not fixed with clamps but glued. For the upper row tempered glass was used, below double laminated panes were installed for safety reasons. With a u-value of 1.1 the system is well insulated.
