Entrance Kasteelruïne Valkenburg

Scheuten Projects Venlo supplied and fitted the 9.3 metres high entrance building for the Kasteelruine in Valkenburg, executed entirely in glass.

Scheuten Projects

Scheuten Projects Venlo supplied and fitted the entrance building for the Kasteelruine at Grendelplein in Valkenburg. The building is entirely executed in glass with a total height of 9.3 metres.

In order to realize a building as transparent as possible, the entrance is built with special glass trusses that constitute the main supporting construction. The trusses consist of a slender frame in which the glass is glued and thus forms one whole.

The head and tail of the entrance building are provided with a complete steel portal to which the automatic sliding door are fitted.

The roof glazing, the glass trusses, glass beams and structural facade glazing is executed with Multisafe® glazings.

Scheuten Projects Venlo is also responsible for the engineering of the entrance building.
